If you send us the data from the Online Index/Library
as requested it will look something like below
Each of those "View Photo" links will be a live,
active link that allows us to instantly view the photo without any user
ID or password.

Besides that - we can ALREADY see the photos through
another method. |
The problem is, we can't see the info listed like
above. |
It's true we may only need one or two of the photos
listed, but we need to see ALL of the data in the list. There may
be similar photos that relate to a different item than what we are
appealing. We need to be certain that we have the right photo and
it is the exact same photo the person at REAC sees when they refer to
this list. |
Sometimes, the way these are listed can be confusing.
We do this every single day of the week - we know how it works - and by
looking at all the photo links, we might even find extra things that you
did not know we could appeal. |
Please leave this to us. DO NOT send us any
photos at all unless specifically requested. |
We have had people - more than once - download 80 or
150 photos onto their computer, one at a time, noting what each photo
was for... Then they put all the photos into a PowerPoint
presentation. Then they printed the photos and their notes in
black and white. on a bad printer. Then they scanned 150 pages of
badly printed photos on a bad scanner and emailed us that. |
It probably took two hours. When we got it, we
deleted it and asked them to go back and follow the instructions. |
PLEASE - the initial review of your appeal is FREE.
Please do not expect us to spend an extra 30 or 45 minutes because you
sent the wrong stuff. |
We review a dozen inspection reports per week.
If every one took an extra 30 to 45 minutes, this would add up to an
entire day's time. |
By the way - Online Index Library (OIL) is a
fictitious name. |
We made up this name. We used to call it the
Photo Index. |
People would see the name "Photo Index" and they
would jump to the conclusion that what we really wanted was the photos,
they would skip the directions, and spend a lot of time downloading and
sending us photos. |
So - we are now calling this the "OIL" and asking you
to send us the "data listing the graphic evidence" and avoiding the use
of the word "photo" to keep people from skipping the directions and
sending the photos. |
Seriously - we have rewritten the instructions ten
times, and 50% of people skip the directions and do the wrong thing,
wasting their time completely. We are hoping that calling it an
Online Index and asking for the data that lists the graphic evidence
prevents people from saying "Oh - they need the pictures! I don't
have to read the directions! I'll just send them the pictures!" |
