Scoring caps

In regards to the cap, is the cap count for the entire inspection of site, exterior, system, common area and units, or is it for each inspectable section of those five areas.
The concept of scoring caps works like this: Let’s say the Site is worth 18 points. The most we can lose on any single defect like Erosion is 7.5 points, regardless of whether the Site is worth 15 or 20. We could still lose the entire 18 points if we have multiple defects.
Whether the Site is worth 10 to 20 points, the maximum value of any one defect is 7.5. So, let’s say the Site is worth 18 points, and there are many different defects we could cite, but no single defect could result in a loss of more than 7.5.
