Are pools allowed at single family homes ?

This is an ownership company policy question, it could be a local code question, but it is not a UPCS question. I do think it would be highly unlikely that any multifamily apartment owner in their right mind would ever allow a resident to install their own swimming pool, subjecting the ownership to liability if someone drowned. UPCS does not address whether it is appropriate for a pool to exist or not, and it does not even say that there must be a fence around a pool. All it does is direct us to cite a defect if there is damage to a swimming pool fence, and to cite a defect if there is a swimming pool that is not operational during the season, or that has some unsafe situation.
