Is there a requirement on how far a flammable liquid cabinet needs to be away from a ignition source.

No this is pretty much a judgment call, but We do not want to see gas cans, or gas powered equipment, or propane tanks in a building that also has units. We want to see them only in auxiliary buildings that have no units, and then, we still want to see them properly capped and away from sources of ignition.
