Removing a fence

Under fences , if an owner decides he would like to remove the fence instead of repairing it . Is that an option ?

If the owner removes a fence, they should remove it completely, leaving no evidence that the fence was there. This is a general principle that we follow on many items – the idea is that the job should be completed and not left incomplete so that we cannot tell if the fence belongs there or not. We’re trying to eliminate items that are not being properly maintained. If the inspector cannot tell that a fence was ever present, then the inspector cannot say that a fence is missing, eh?
