Past infestation not cleaned up

Does infestation have to have current signs of activity or can it be past signs of activity that has not been cleaned up? (seems like it might be tough to tell at times.)

You’re absolutely right. Sometimes you can’t tell how long those dead roaches have been there, and even if they had been there a long time, it doesn’t prove there are no live ones running around. Consider that any evidence of infestation is fair game, past or present.
